Cinnamon Roll French Toast Bake
A cozy breakfast casserole with cinnamon roll flavor, custardy French toast texture, and sweet vanilla icing.
Ingredients
- 1 loaf brioche or challah, cubed
- 4 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 tbsp melted butter
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp milk, for icing
- 1/2 tsp vanilla, for icing
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
Add bread cubes to the dish.
Whisk eggs, milk, cream, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and melted butter.
Pour the custard over the bread and gently press to soak.
Let sit for 10 minutes.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until puffed and golden.
Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make icing.
Drizzle icing over the warm bake.
Serve immediately.
