Hot Honey Salmon Rice Bowl
Flaky hot honey glazed salmon served over jasmine rice with avocado, cucumber, edamame, and a spicy drizzle for a fresh and flavorful dinner bowl.
Ingredients
- 2 salmon fillets
- 2 cups cooked jasmine rice
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp hot honey
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 cup cucumber, sliced
- 1/2 cup edamame
- 1/4 cup pickled red onions
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp sriracha
- Sesame seeds
- Green onions, sliced
- Salt and black pepper
Instructions
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
In a small bowl, stir together hot honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar to make the glaze.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Place the salmon in the pan and sear for 3–4 minutes on the first side until golden.
Flip the salmon carefully and cook for another 2–3 minutes, depending on thickness, until the salmon is just flaky.
During the final minute, brush the salmon generously with the hot honey glaze and let it bubble slightly around the fish.
Remove the salmon from the heat and let it rest for a few minutes so it stays tender and juicy.
In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and sriracha until smooth to make the spicy drizzle.
Divide warm jasmine rice between serving bowls. Arrange cucumber, avocado, edamame, and pickled onions around the rice.
Place the hot honey salmon on top of each bowl, either whole or gently flaked into large pieces.
Drizzle with spicy mayo, sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions, and finish with extra hot honey if desired.
Serve immediately while the rice is warm, the salmon is glossy, and the vegetables are fresh and crisp.

- Fresh and flavorful dinner bowl
- Sweet and spicy hot honey glaze
- Beautiful restaurant-style presentation
- Ready in about 35 minutes
Ingredient Notes
Salmon stays tender and flaky when cooked just until it begins to separate easily with a fork. Hot honey gives it a glossy sweet heat that makes the bowl feel special.
Avocado adds creaminess, cucumber adds crunch, edamame adds extra protein, and pickled onions bring brightness to balance the rich salmon.
Tips For The Best Salmon Bowl
- Do not overcook the salmon or it may become dry.
- Use freshly cooked warm rice for the best texture.
- Add the glaze during the final minute so it does not burn.
- Assemble the bowl just before serving so the vegetables stay crisp.
Variations
Swap salmon for shrimp, use brown rice instead of jasmine rice, add mango for sweetness, or replace hot honey with sriracha honey for extra heat.
